Tattoos

This is a post all about Tattoos, there are 2 types of people in the world, those who want tattoos and those who don't. And those who want tattoo's includes all the people who have atleast one already and want more.    I have to say that I am among those who want tattoos. At first I thought I didn't want one but over the years I have seen so many beautiful people who have tattoos and a lot of them, and I can't take my eyes off of them. However, I have such low pain tolerance that when someone pinches me it hurts for twenty minutes. This does not seem to be conducive to me getting a tattoo. Maybe someday I will work up the courage to handle the pain, of course my plan only includes getting one tattoo, not a whole body of them. For now, I am just going to admire the beautiful art that I see on other people's bodies.







This is not a tattoo just a drawing. But I loved it just as much!

The Edge Effect

I am currently working on designing a collection for a second interview. With who, I am not going to say because I don't want to jinx it. During my research I came across a lot of amazing, inspiring images. Here is one set, called "The Edge Effect" by Daniel Kukl.

Halloween Help!

I NEED YOU!

Okay all, I need some opinions. And if you all are anything like me you would love the chance to tell people what you think. So here is the question! Dum Dum Dum...

What should I be for Halloween! I have narrowed it down to 2 main options and here they go!

First let me say for the past few years I have been people that apparently are not easily recognizable. Here are pictures of my last 2 Halloween costumes. I'm not going to tell you who I was, but if you can guess and guess right I will be so unbelievably happy.

Okay now down to the nitty gritty here are my two options for this year.

I had planned on being Robyn but I figured if people didn't know who I was the past few years that this year I should be someone or thing that people would know right away so the Robyn idea was left in the dust. However I then found this picture and thought it was brilliant!



ROBYN AS ROBIN! I mean really, can you get better than that!

So that's the first option, the second was inspired by Pleasantville, this scene particularly.

Here is a group that did this costume idea before.



And my boyfriend, Nick, suggested that we go as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo from I Love Lucy in black and white.



So in summation,

Quilting

You fashionista's out there know that quilting is super trendy right now. For example, JW Anderson's collection at TopShop.

These quilted pieces are amazing. But I found some even cooler quilted stuff while researching this trend. 

Pretty cool stuff. Makes me want to go out and create my own quilted collection.

Rainboots

As I woke up today it was rainy which I love rainy days in New York. The whole city feels more serene, there are a lot less people on the streets on my walk to work and it's much quieter. I always wish I was in Caillebotte's Paris in the Rain painting.



Sometimes I wish we are still dressed this way. The rain creates a mood for me and I love to see how people wear their rain gear in a fashionable way.




Look at those rainboots! More like rain heels (which I never even knew existed)!

Blame it on the rain, such great "statement" boots in both senses of the word "statement".

Next time it rains I hope we all try something new and show off our rainy day style!

Alice + Olivia SS'13

So many things I love about this. First, off such a great photo shoot  Second, amazing clothes. Third, a very tempting idea for painting my room!

I have been contemplating painting my room but it just seems like so much work and as a renter that means when I move out I will have to repaint over it... blah blah all that. But look at all these great ideas:




Maybe it's time to go pick up some paint after work.
